Aimably Documentation > Data Integrations > CloudCheckr Advanced Grouping Historical Spend Report Configuration for AWS
The instructions below are for Aimably clients which do not have access to the AWS Billing Console, but do have access to CloudCheckr. Below are instructions on how to create an Advanced Grouping containing historical spending data and delivering the report to Aimably for use.
For a detailed guide to CloudCheckr Advanced Grouping Reports for AWS, please refer to CloudCheckr by Flexera Documentation
In CloudCheckr, navigate to Cost > AWS Billing > Custom Reporting > Advanced Grouping..
Select the date range:
Because finalized data is uploaded to CloudCheckr almost 30 days after end of the consumption period, we request 13 months of data in our historical report.
For the start date, select the first date of the month prior in the year prior. For example, if today were the 15th of February in 2030, select the 1st of January in 2029. If today were the 20th of January in 2025, select the 1st of December in 2023 (as 2024 would have been just one month prior).
For the end date, select today's date.
Use the Group By function to select the data points in the report. Choose all of the following:
Account
Month
Year
Service
Region
Select "List" in the Cost Type drop-down menu to display your own retail pricing. Leave Aggregate and Chart Type options as-is, and leave Resource ID blank.
Leave all three of the following boxes unchecked:
Include usage quantity
Include zero costs
Exclude credits
Leave all tags in the Filter by Tags section unselected, and ensure the "Exclude costs that have ANY of these tags" option is left selected.
Leave all items in the Filters section selected.
Click "Filter" which will then initiate the report generation process.
Once the report is generated, it will appear at the bottom of the page.
Click the icon to Download as CSV. Once downloaded, please locate the exported report where you saved to and email it to cur@aimably.com
